The Department of Defense has identified 1,873 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:
KOLATH, Obediah J., 32, Sgt. First Class, Army; Louisburg, Mo.; Army Special Operations Command.
MARTINEZ, Joseph L., 21, Specialist, Army; Las Vegas; Second Squadron, Third Armored Cavalry.
